MARYLAND KLANS TO STAGE CELEBRATION
National Officers to Deliver Talks on August 31 500 Initiated at Wilmington
(Special to Fiery Cross) PRINCESS ANNE, Md., Aug. 13.
A monster public celebration will be staged here on August 31 by the Ku
Mux Klan, it has been announced
and the plans for the demonstration
are now rapidly being completed. It is expected that the meeting will be one of the largest ever held in this territory. Theuncompleted program
calls for a big parade, speaking by national officers of, the Klan and other features to be announced later. Three Klans in this county will receive their charters on that day. They are Deal's Island, Crisfield and Smith's Island. . The auditorium in this city has been engaged for the event and part of the program will be carried out
in that building. The Marion Klan
and the klan from this city will also take part in the program.

As the car was brought to a stop
Motoreycle Policeman Grover Gilroy, who had reached the Inn Imme
diately after the cars had left, arrived on the scene. A search of the car resulted in the finding of a quart of whisky, it is alleged. All the participants were released except Powers and Ray, who were taken to jail, where the latter was released after an investigation. Powers was then Held on $1,000 bond, following a consultation by the sheriff and prosecuting attorney.
VEVAY, Ind., Aug. 10. What is
said to be the biggest .crowd ever seen in this community gathered here last Friday night when it was
learned that there would be an address on the Ku. Klux Klan, and also a public naturalization ceremony would be held. x The entire crowd seemed to be in accord with the movement and the speaker was loudly applauded throughout his discourse.
At the conclusion of the speech
the naturalization took place and a
large number of candidates took the
oath of Americanism and were made
members of the country's greatest
organization, the Ku Klux Klan.
