Unless the historians, as well as educators, have more influence with the assembly than they had with the Senate of the New York state legislature, every history textbook in the public schools of New York state will have to be inspected to see whether it contains langauge which might be considered as hostile to the part the United States played in any war.

(By Staff Correspondent) Zanesville, Ohio, May 7. The parade and naturalization ceremony held here recently was even larger than that staged at Newark a week ago. The largest crowd that was ever jammed into the downtown business streets here watched 2,000 Klansmen parade. The line of march, from the fair grounds, across the Muskingum river, up through the business sec
tion, around back, covered four miles. It took an hour and a half
to hold the parade. At the fair grounds, robed Klansmen were admitted to the center of the race track, where a class of 200 candidates were given the obligations to the Invisible Empire. A large fiery cross, the American flag and the altar were erected in plain view of the more than 5,000 people who crowded the grandstand and the fields around the track. Following the ceremony the King Kleagle of Ohio gave an address on the aims and purposes of the Klan, which was loudly and frequently applauded by his iisteuers. Following the speech fireworks were exploded.

Cruse, pastor of the First Reformed Church of this city, before an audience that packed the church, presented a beautiful silk American flag, as w-ell as a substantial contribution to the fund necesary to further the work of the Rev.
