EDUCATORS VOICE
PLEA FOR SCHOOLS OHIO CITY HEARS COLVIN AND BODE OF. OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY. (By Staff Correspondent.) Columbus, Ohio, April 9. "Children nf ilio A ,: i . - . xT.mcutaj, people must be educated m a common school, supported by the' entire' people and attended by the children of the entire Lolvm of Columbia University here this week-end at the third . annual Ohio Educational conference at the wt.u uLULc j in versity.' Professor Colvin's address iti which he Cnndpirma "oqJoP r,kA1 a it kinds, comes as a re-enforcement to ttuuj5 nece Dy uaiias Lore Sharp, ot Boston University, a week ago, which was so bitterly assailed from some quarters. Professor Colvin denounced special schools from the standpoint of the educator, saying that "they all have their value, but that value is partial and when considered by itself may be completely misleading." Every group that wants a special school has some particular "educational objective," the speaker pointed out. He referred in particular to the religious and parochial schools of the nation. Their objectives were very limited, he insisted. There were groups which wanted to foist their aims and whims upon the public schools, but "educational objectives must be determined from within by a sound philosophy of education," he added. Professor B. II.' Bode, of the Ohio Mate University, who followed Professor Colvin on the program, pointed to the opportunity that presented itself .today to all educational leaders to guide development of our public education by setting up objectives that will - convert our sentimentsof democracy into social customs and institutions and into established habits of thinking." The .sentiments expressed by ihese two educators are especially worthv '.f consideration because they give them from a professional standpoint only, it is pointed out.. It is expected that much opposition will develop from certain sources as it did follow--ing the address of Dr. Sharp on public schools a week ago. LISTEN BROTHER I have published and broadcasted the wonderful work of the Noles W ater Filter and Double Cooler Combined, the naturaj stone filter which contains thousands of invisible pores like the human skin, nature's own filter, never treated in anv wav, quarried from the earth and found" in but one locality in the entire United Mates, positively has no equal. Have published the full name and address of many of the hundreds who are glad to hold their hands up to God add declare to the world how quickly this marvelous God-given stone and relief to suffering humanity removed the cause and nature soon built them up to health after years of suffering and all means had failed. Removed the deadly mineral substance you find in all drinking water, no matter how clear and harmless it mav affpear or the whole outfit is theirs without one cent: the deadly mineral substance which is sending thousands to thai dreaded operating table all over the land with appendicitis, gall stones, stone in the bladder, destroying the urinary organs, coating the stomach the same as it is your teakettle, eating and destroying the tinware in every household in the land. Look at the teakettle and tinware in vour own home and get the proof. Look at the thousands being suddenly called. Think how it comes creeping upon you like a thief in the night. Use reason and common sense before it is too late. Investigate and look for the proof and you will positively find it. Yes. we have hundreds of sworn affidavits from living responsible people well known, giving their full name and address, aud I have published such names and address in thousands of papers in order to give people a chance to get the positive truth, and now the letters arc enmino- l.w the hundreds, and bear in mind, I "have oeen using tlw Lnited States mails for twelve years, and that tells you that things are just as represented. 1 have also explained how this marvelous discovery soon made me a nice fortune, and now at 72 years old, all alone and health ruined by the '"Flu." I had to give up and retire, and now with factory ana assembling plants. I decided to take good, honest men in with me as equal owners and partners, they take charge of supply stations, each having from 25 to 50 salesmen under him, all orders coming to my partners and money returning, him the banker and custodian of all money, draw $200 per month and one-half of all profits with big income, solid and safe as a bank, and only ask a little good faith money when I set him up in business, say two hundred dollars to show he means business. Many wise ones investigated at once and soon got in and some have already made thousands and still going right on, and others coming every day and the business spreading in all directions, and openings for more in all directions, as the 'United States covers much ground. No experience required, and to those who desire a position of high standing, gilt edge and better their financial standing to quite an extent. Simply investigate before the chances are all taken. THE K LAN Wl LLS THAT WILLIS WON'T REBUKES EDITOR OF WATERLOO PAPER FOR ASSAULTS FOLLOWING DENIAL OF MEMBERSHIP TO HIM. (By Staff Correspondent.) Auburn, Ind., April 12. There are among the host of American journalists those who extoll the virtues of the Ku Klux Klan. Some are neutral. And there are others who oppose the organization, finding it profitable to cudgel to the whims of their best advertiser;. It., may be said to the credit of. the latter: they are to be commended, for their consistency. But in Waterloo, near here, is found an editor by the name of Willis who, is of the type different from any oft Lue luiegoing. ine loiiowmg editorial, appearing in the Waterloo Press, comes after Mr. Willis had been denied membership in the Ku Klux Klan. "What's become of the Ku Klux Klan in Waterloo? When the lecturer spoke at the U. B. church, in Waterloo on February 23, a large number of those in the audience signed cards requesting that they be given additional information concerning the workings of the Klan, and so far as can be learned not one of them has heard anything more of the hooded band. Perhaps there are not enough men here who had the ten spots to make it profitable for the organizers." The man, chagrined because he received no answer from the card he handed in, flaunts the organization by taking a knock at his own home tOWn. The slatpmpnt. "tbora arc if enough men who had ten spots" is a uireci reDUke at Waterloo citizens, regardless of u.-Vmi- mio-iif v, v,n; affiliations.
