(By Staff Correspondent) South Bend, March 20. An appeal for funds, declared necessary if the fight instituted by the American Unity League and Tolerance was to continue, was made by Patrick H. FIGHT TO-A FINISH IN NEW YORK KLAN- GOING BIG (Special to Fiery Cross) Albany, N. Y., March 20. The fight against the Ku llux Klan in this state will culminate in a public hearing scheduled for Wodnesdjv, March 2L, on Senator Walker's bi"ll to curb the Klan. Ku Klux S&ssionr Held in j CHnton Despite Deluge Clinton, Ind., March 17. Despite the stormy weather about one hundred and fifty local men' were attracted to the Coliseum, last night to hear the address on the Ku Klux Klan by Rev. George West, of Brazil. J. ho meeting was -swelled by about two hundred men, evidently klansnien, who filed into the Coliseum when the speaking was about half over, carrying little grips and packaS thought to contain. their regalia. The K. K. K. speaker was interrupted but once during the meeting when shortly after the meeting had started Pat Lyons arose to ask a question. "I have the floor," yelled West, and when Pat started to remonstrate he was told to keep quiet or leave the place. Lyons left a few minutes later.
