Morrow, who was arrested Saturday on a charge of distributing anonymous election campaign matter, has signed a statement under oath that he was employed by the Ku Klux Klan at $10 a day as a "precinct committeeman." Chief Muiconnery stated he has information that the Klan plans to "carry off tho election at any cost." The St. Louis Post Dispatch has been publishing articles that the Klan is supporting a "slate" in the municipal primary, at. which, .candidates for the mayoral and four city commissionerships will be selected, and that those endorsed by the Klan have Pledged themselves to appoint only Klansmen or their friends to office. . i Vyes Lisfeol Names MorrowV alleged confession, Chter Mulconnery announced,;- stated the Klan has a committeeman for each of the 61 precincts in the city and. gives a list of names of alleged members of the Klan, , Morrow has been released under bond. He was arrested with two others and the anonymous circulars urged the defeat of 18 candidates. Klan Visits Windfall Church During the revival services conducted by Glenn O. Mills, minister, and R. Paul Arnold, singer, at the Windfall Christian church, the minister announced that he would preach a sermon on the subject, "Making America 100 Per Cent." The announcement of the sermon seemed tq awaken the interest of the community, for, notwithstanding the fact that the night was one of the coldest and most disagreeable of the winter there were 400 people assembled before the beginning of the service. At the conclusion of the song service a band of hooded Knights came in and formed a circle about the assembled congregation while one of their number advanced to the minister and presented him with an envelope. The Knights stood at attention While the minister nrooMo,1 o sermon pleading for devotion to American ideals. Mr. Arnold also spoke commending the Ku Klux Klan as an aid to the church and as a movement that would do more than anything else to free America from her present perils. The envelope contained a cash offering of $.'S1 an l a letter commending the work of the ministers for their work in the community.
