Editor of The Fiery Cross: Greetings, brother Klansmen. I trust that each of our millions of brothers of the Nobte Ku Klux Klajn is as regular ..and int;ereted readers of our fine and rapidly, growing little paper of Truth as I am.. I can hardly wait from one edition until the

next. My greatest regret is that it is not a daily publication. But come on, feliow Klansmen, that is our part of its great work and growth. It is what

we shall make It. Therefore rather.

than let it die or even remain a weekly publication let's make it boom as no other paper has boomed from its infancy. Let the public become ac

quainted with the truth which our paper gives them. Let them see how opposition really promotes our growth. Opposition from the sources from whence it comes is our best

recommendation for rights, justice and our aims of 100 American Ku Klux Klansmen. . The protests do not come from Klansmen. Why? Because they are acquainted with the grand principles of our noble order. The greatest percentage of the kicks come from one of three classes: Roman Catholic, Jew and negro. Or

possibly we might add the bootlegger, j and his many fellow crooks, and law-: breakers. We again ask why should not their arguments be accepted for truth? Because neither of the above classes could possibly enter our ranks, they therefore know nothing, can know nothing (except to fear us) until they do beconfe 100 American citizens who have learned to attend strictly to their own business and allow us to attend to ours and assist our officers in supporting the Constitution of our grand, old country the United States of America and driving crooks from our soil. God, our creator and preserver, sees and knows the time is at hand when something should be done to save our dear Stars and Stripes from everlasting disgrace. I say disgrace for such

it is when men (I can not say citi

zens) of our country deliberately ignore our laws and our constitution and do as they wish and get by "with it. We do not know exactly why but we do know that all crooks must and will pay the price. Our officers need the steady support of every redblooded American and that is our duty as Knights of the Ku Klux Klan; Each publication of the Fiery Cross brings forth much of interest in the fact of the different stands, leagues, etc., our enemies are making in their efforts to down and kill us. But, thank

God, we are in the right, with Him as our guide and their efforts are only in vain for they only make us . stronger and more determined for America

for Americans, white, supremacy, and a hell rather than haren for al)Ha-w breakers. ' : ' It is interesting how enthusiastic our friends of the American Unity League are In their great struggle to down us. Do they not know the public sees and knows that the majority of its members are Roman Catholics and what their aim is? Shouldn't opposition from such a source make

us grow? Yes. Show me a genuine I law-abiding, white, Christian, Gentile, 100 American citizen who is fighting the Ku Klux Klan and possibly 1 might listen to his arguments if 1

1 1 didn't feel he had some friends on I j the other side of the fence who can 1 not get over to our side. la "Our" A. U. League running i. down murderers, bootleggers, moonI I shiners, highwaymen and publishing a ; their names? No. They haven't time i for trying to pry open the lid. of Klan:ishness. stands for, as I have cherished, from my earliest recollections, the things

for which our blessed America stands

vouchsafed by the divinely inspired Constitution of the United States of America, the greatest document conceived byc .irian from Eden .down till now. '. ; . . . Like the Universal sky. it . spreads its ample, folds over , all',,' . embracing' all, protecting, all law.-abiding people, regardless of creed, class or color, who believe in i,t and seek 'ur peaceful shores to share in the Ibenign blessings of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness tbat it guarantees. It does not interfere, wjth thought, belief nor action only as it affects the whole. I learned these things in our blessed common schools, in my academic and collegiate courses and taught

it eigbjt years as a teacher as a Prot

estant teacher : a Gentile, white teacher; and I deplored then as I deplore now the fact that thousands of children born in America who are, to be citizens of the . United States and should be trained to become 100 American citizens while two-thirds of the teachers in our public schools owe allegiance first to the Vatican on one of the seven hills of Rome, and our country , second. I cast my lpt with the Klan because

it believes J these, sames ; things and stands for .law and' order, and law enforcement through the regularly con

stituted processes of laws provided, by state and nation, by, Tts' oftfcers and courts and Inio. 'other way, to 'aid in bringing thi?Kculpri.t, high or low, to justice, whetherTtroni the hoVel-br tlte brown tqne frcU , , . ' The Gotiatijui; aBpws Jews, Ital

It has the sante right as any other order of determining1 who shall or may belong to it. Do tbey not? The qualifications that are. universally proclaimed are: Must be 100 American, must be Gentile, white and Protestant, and also a gentleman, and be

lieve in law and order, civil justice, and believe in the tenets of Christian religion. It certainly would make a formidably fine bunch of patriotic fellows banded together for a lofty purpose. H. M. H. Crawfordsville, Ind.

To ignore the, problems of your Eet?e and Country is to defraucf posterity wilfully. The greatest danger facing the American Republic today is the gradual emplacement of our religious, social and political foundations by those of alien origin. :. . ; , ' ; To fight for the conservation of our Race, and for its betterment, is not a matter of racial prejudice; it is love of country. It is a true sentiment based upon knowledge and the lessons of history, rather than upon o silly sentimentalism bred in ignorance. The- remarkable growth of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan in the face oi wholesale calumny has driven the anti-social and anti-American forces to desperate measures. With their lying propaganda they, are striving to . discredit this noble organization in the eyes of Americans. The Knights of the K.Klux Klan shall ever: safeguard the integrity and Welfare of our native institutions." They are anti-nothing except that which is -avowedly' destructive to constitutional privilege. They are intolerant of nothing except that which represents; the forces of evil. . If you can qualify, you are in duty bound to enlist within the ranks of this 1 truly American Order'. ' ' Our Enemies are Your EneMcs ' If further information is desired, address P.O. J Our enemies say we are trying to : take the law into our own hands, j Again they are utterly wrong for we j are merely supporting our officers, or rather see them do their duty, j In Hancock county, of which I am ! a resident, stills are running openly, j bootleggers are so thick in our coun- ! ty seat that they are almost forced j to sell to each other. "Why they are ! not caught and punished we do not ! know for any stranger can come into

Greenneid and within an hour can buy white mule. The time has come to strike and I feel safe in saying that

within the next six months every still will be out of existence and every boot-legger will be run down and brought to justice and will do his time as should all other crooks. The mysterious eyes of the Klansmen are tipon them and many of them are known and while there is yet time they would better get a new job or else quit the town for Greenfield Is no place for gamblers, and boot-leggers any longer. Editor of The Fiery Cross:

The members of the local Baptist,

Methodist and Presbyterian SundaySchools were very much surprised Sunday morning when their respective superintendents read a letter -which they had received through the mail the day before, and which contained a ten-dollar bill, sent by and with the greetings and best wishesr of the local members of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan.

The letter at. the Presbyterian:

members, .jwme of .whom spoke very; bitterly against the Klaivr Supt.
