LIGHT, DARK AND LIGHT.
This was a dark day and some days must be dark and dreary, but inside The Republican office there was radiant the warm smile of |sunshine/ John Bowie told “Lefty” of the big hit made last Sunday evening at Wheatfield by the leading lady of the Gordon Players, in toe production, “A Fool For Luck. ‘‘Lefty” drank in all toe story with rapture and eagerness, but when John recited the scene where toe leading lady embraces with real affection the cow-boy, “Lefty’s jaw dropped and his face for a moment wes darker than the heavy skies outside. . . , But “Lefty” wn resumed to state of blissful happiness and is joyful in the anticipation of the rising of the curtain here.
