“A FOOL FOR LUCK” AT NEW ELLIS THIS EVENING
“A Fool For Luck,” a three-act comedy, drama, will be the offering of the Gordon Players at the New Ellis Theatre this Saturday evening. It is a play that will please all devotees of the legitimate stage and one that is highly' recommended by all critics. The plot is clever and refreshing and carries with it an unusual amount of comedy. Charles Greiner, a great local favorite, is at his best in this play and will have the leading roll. This evening’s performance will be followed on ’Christmas day by ‘‘Tess Of The Storm Country,” featuring Miss Ethel Lorraine as “Tess.” A matinee will also be given Christmas day. The prices for this evening’s performance remain the same, 50c and 25c plus tax. Mrs. Robert Webb and baby returned to Indianapolis Saturday afternoon after a visit here with O. A. Jones and family. Mrs. Daisy Hoshaw went to Monon Saturday afternoon for a visit with his sister, Mrs. G. C. Brown. Attorney Emory Sellers of MonticMlo •was in Rensselaer Saturday. Harold Weiss, w’ho is attending Wisconsin university at Madison, arrived home Saturday afternoon for the”holiday vacation. He was accompanied by his aunt, Mrs. A.’ C. Rosenbrook, of Madison. Mrs. Rosenbrook is a daughter of M. A. Dewey. Netta B. Jordan arrived here from Denver, Colo., Saturday afternoon. She was accompanied here by her brother, Homer Jordan, who is a junior in Northwestern University at Evanston, 111. Mrs. S. L. Jordan of Barkley township is their mother. Tillman Owen and grandson, Arthur Hollingsworth, of Benton county, were here Saturday to meet the former’s daughter, Alma Owen, who. returned from Chicago.
