TAILORS MOVE TO CUT COST

Association Starts Co-operative Shops in St. Louis to Eliminate Contractors. St. Louis, Dec. 2. —Two co-operative tailor shops will be opened here within the next week, under the direction of the Merchant Tailors’ association of St. Louis, mi a plan that will result in a material reduction in clothing 'prices.. The work to be done in these shops is at present performed by “contractors” who make up suits after they have been cut out by the merchant tailors. Fox explained. The elimination of these contractors, coupled with the drop in..the price of wool, wiU be important factors in effecting a reduction of $lO to $1,5 on clothing now selling frbm $45 th $75, Fox said.
