DR. KANNAL AGAIN ACTIVE AS VET E RINARIAN

Dr. H. J. Kannell, who since 1894, has been a practicing veterinarian, but on account of being in the service of the state, and far a while for the United States government, had not been active in the practice in this city, has returned, to his work here and is ready to serve the public in this professional way. Dr. Kannal has served as Assistant Veterinarian of Indiana, having charge of some very important research work. He was a spe- i cial ' representative of the govern- j me nt during the war and had a large part in the saving of thou- ! sands of hogs which were sent to the live stock markets on account' nf the supposed exposure to dis- > ease. Many of the hogs were sent to market when weighing less than ■one hundred pounds. Dr. Kannal, realizing that this was an enormous loss to the stock man and also a disease of the meat supply so badly needed, asked to have a chance to experiment with s this class of hogs.
