Floyd Spain went to Lafayette today where he will enter St. Elisabeth hospital for treatment, j Mrs. George Btoudt of Remington went to- Waukegan today to visit her daughter, Mrs.’ D. T. Schrader. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ulyat of Brook went to Chicago today to visit Mrs. Ulyst’s sister, Mrs. Jack Davis. Mrs. Edward Fay of Belvo, Ontario, Canada, who had been visiting Mrs. Patil Wood, returned home today. ■ : William L. Vollmer and son, Fred, of near' Medaryville were in Rensselaer. They were former neighbors of County Auditor S. C. Robinson and family. Miss Nellie Sawyer was the guest of H. H. Potter and family Monday, and today continued to Chicago, where she is receiving regular instruction in instrumental music. Kathryn Kuboske, a student of St. Marys college at South Ben<L came Sunday to attend the funeral of her grandfather, Frank Kuboske, at Remington. Mrs. Ephraim Hughes left today for her home in Frankfort, S. D., after an extended visit with her daughter, Mrs. Frank Horsewood and family. Mr. Horsewood accompanied her to Chicago. Lloyd Hopkins, the assistant cashier of the State Bank of Mt. Ayr, and his mother, Mrs. George Hopkins, were in Rensselaer today, having accompanied the latter’s sister, Mrs. Sarah. Miller, here to take the train for her home in Lafayette. Otto Chasteen went to Lafayette today and will bring Mrs. Chasteen home Wednesday, if she is able to make the trip. Mrs. Chasteen underwent a serious operation at the St. Elizabeth hospital in that city some three weeks ago. Mr. and Mrs. George Morgan have received a letter from their son, John Morgan, of Mitchell, S. D.,*in which he tells of a fine birthday surprise the relatives gave in honor of his wife’s birthday on Sunday, December 5. Mrs. Morgan was formerly Miss Hazel Kenton, daughter of Elmer Kenton, one of South Dakota’s leading farmers and stockmen.
