The high school B. B. season opens Friday with a hard game. Too bad. A Purdue start hurts any team. However, if they really go for victory: we predict they fore-go defeat. We haven’t started our season s review of the Independents for two reasons. We ran out of nice things to say before we covered those eighteen ODD players, and we are not sure the season’s over. No we cannot blame the Republicans or credit the Democrats for this interest in our welfare. Be thankful for this blessing and buy Red Cross seals. The Rev. E. Leßoy Steffy of the Flora Presbyterian church has resigned to accept the pastorate of the Pine Street Presbyterian church of Hammond. The change is to be made on December 19.
