Russian barytone of the Chicago Opera company, on his arrival from abroad, was removed to the immigration station at Ellis island, where a special board of inquiry ordered Ms deportation? Elvira Amazar, a Russian soprano, who came to this c&unfry with him on the same steamship in 1915. She charged that the barytone brought her to America on a promise of marriage, but she learned, later he had a wife and children in Russia.
