MRS. W. H. PARKINSON HURT IN AUTO MISHAP
The following item is taken from the Lafayette Journal-Courier of Tuesday evening'. . “Mrs. W. H; Parkinson of 911 South Ninth street, whose husband is an attorney at law, was severely injured Tuesday evening ~at 7 o’clock near the Three Mile Switch crossing on the New York Central lines beyond Poland Hill when she jumped from an automobile that was skidding into the ditch. Mr. Parkison was driving and as he approached the railroad crossing he saw a train. When he applied the brakes the car skidded and went down a small embankment. Mrs. Parkinson, when she jumped, landed on her head and was unconscious for several minutes. Her husband, who was net hurt, carried her into a nearby house and she was taken in a taxi cab to the Home hospital. She had bad bruises about the head but her injuries apparently are not serious.” . . • Mr. Parkinson telephoned his mother, Mirs. W. H. Parkinson, of this city, this Thursday morning, informing her that Mrs. Parkinson was getting along nicely and that she would 'be able to l the nosfiital soon.
