Jasper county has an expert peppermint man, who would be willing to advise with any one desiring to investigate the proposition of planting this crop in Jasper county. This • man is H- P. Callender, of Barkley township. $ — Attorneys Joihn A. Dunlap and W. L. Wood were in Kentland today on legal matters. At the- annual meeting of the Monon railway surgeons held at Lafayette Thursday, Dr* I. M. Washburn, of this city, was re-elected secretary of the organization for the ensuing year. Dr. C. S. Murphy, of Salem,, was elected president of the organization.
