William Hindman, of Columbia City, sold his peppermint oil, amounting to 2,500 . pounds, for $15,000. The peppermint • was raised in Noble county. Jasper county has an expert peppermint man, who would be willing to advise with any one desiring to investigate the proposition of planting this crop in Jasper county. This • man is H- P. Callender, of Barkley township. $ — Attorneys Joihn A. Dunlap and W. L. Wood were in Kentland today on legal matters. At the- annual meeting of the Monon railway surgeons held at Lafayette Thursday, Dr* I. M. Washburn, of this city, was re-elected secretary of the organization for the ensuing year. Dr. C. S. Murphy, of Salem,, was elected president of the organization.
