W. L. Bott went to Lebanon today to attend the Layman’s section of the Northwest Indiana -M. E. conference. , - Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Haas have moved into the Farmer property on South Scott street, just vacated by. W. E Jacks. Raymond Dixey arrived home from -Rochester, Minn., where he have been taking treatments in the Mayo hospital. F. W. Beasey, who had been living at Gifford, went to Lafayette this afternoon, where he will make his home with a son. Dr. Jane W. Eller returned Wednesday to her home in New Richmond, 111., after a visit With Mr. and Mrs. Charles Porter. Edith West returned home Wednesday evening from Chicago. While away she was also the* guest of the Rev. and Mrs. Parrott of Hamipond. Wm. Eigelsbach left today for Olene, Oregon, to visit • his sister, Mrs. Albert Marshall. He will be gone for some time and will probably get a position while in OreRon. Dr. I. M. Washburn, T. M. Callahan and wife, Dr. Rose Remmek, Dr. H. L. Brown, D. S. Makeever, Edd J. Randle, Mrs. Jesse Beecher and daughter, Pauline, were in Chicago today. , , 'Gertrude McConahey, who had visited here with -ber mother, Mrs. J. W. McConahey, in the home of the latter’s mother, Mrs. Henry Randle, returned today to Pullman, HL Mrs. Rosa Bruner, who had visited with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bowers left this afternoon for her home in Greensburg.- Mrs. Bruner is a sister of James Thompson, Mrs. Bowers’ father. _ , “Lefty” Clark, Harry Parker, Hugh Kirk and C. A. Ross, motored to Chicago in the Kirk car today. The former had important business, but the latter three went to buy football toggery for the independent football team of this city. Mrs. Gwin Thomas and baby have returned to Rensselaer after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. George Thomas and family. Mr. and Mrs. Gwin Thomas will make their home in Portland, Indiana, in the near future, where Mr. Thomas will be employed aS secretary of the Association of Commerce. —Monticello Herald.
