' - Helen and Irma Rishling spent a few days last week with relatives in Barkley. Wm. Zabel and familyand Arthur Miller aqd family visited Sunday at Kewanna. Mrs. Robert Hastings and daughter of Hammond spent a few days with Mrs. Rebecca Jacks. The annual Jacks reunion was held Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Defier Sunday. School opened Monday with Miss Nina Anderson as teacher. There hre twenty-three pupils enrolled. W. L. Stiers and wife of Gary, D. E. Noland and wife of Marshall "and Sam Jacks and wife celebrated Jack Large of Ohio stopped here Saturday to visit his brother. He came from Illinois where he had been to see his father who is. in ft very critical condition, being afflicted with cancer.
