F. D. ROOSEVELT PASSES THROUGH THIS CITY
Franklin D. Roosevelt, the demonominee for vice-president passed through Rensselaer this Monday forenoon on. the 11:18 train enroute to Monticello. He spoke at Monticello this afternoon. There were a number of democrats present and the candidate greeted them from the rear of the tram, shaking hands with all, but not making an address. The following went to Monticello to hear the address this afternoon: Postmaster N. Littlefield, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Hoover, Mr. and Mrs. John Mauck, Lewis Welsh and A. D. Hershman.
