Heavier Trucks Coming.
- At a recent meeting of the Cleveland and Detroit sections of the Society of Automobile Engineers, P. D. Litchfield, a factory manager, expressed the belief that the heavy tonnage truck of the future would be some form of the multiple-wheel vehicle, just as the multiple-wheel freight car succeeded the single-truck type in the transportation of heavy loads. Experiments have been made with the sixwheeled truck of this description, and the results are said to be very gratifying, easier on both toe tires and roads. ' ■ ■■ - | ——
