William E. Marion on the J. J. Lawler farm, southeast of this city threshed 4,000 bushels of oats, his field-averaging, better than 70 bushel* to the acre. His wheat averaged 24 bushels, weighed 61 pounds to the bushel and is of such excellent quality that he will hold it and it for seed. I have 20 acres of melons that will be ready for market August 18. Same will be for sale at the field, 2 miles and a half east of Fair Oaks, Ind., in ear load tots if desired. No sales on Sunday.
