Mrs. Oliver Brouhard and sons were here a few days last week. Mrs. George Marshall and daughter are visiting at Hobart this week. * _ Whiter McConnell and Mrs. C. A. Corns are spending the weak at Cedar Lake. . John Thorn and wife and Clifford came in their machine from Hammond Saturday. " ' ChaS. Halleck brought in the first melons this week from hip place "north of town . Frank Goff and his new wife are installed ip the former’s house in the north end of town. And along with the flavor of pickles and watermelons comes the scent of orange blossoms. Mrs. Bertha Biffle and Miss Florence Diff of near Parr visited Tuesday with Mrs. Carl Trump. Mr. and Mrs. John Zellers of Virgie spent the day here Monday visiting Tom Johnson and family. George Johnson, who has been in the military service for about 7 years is at home and will probably not go back. Miss Lola Malatt returned home Tuesday after a two weeks’ visit with relatives and friends here and at Wheatfield.
