Mr. and Mrs. A. Konovpky were county seat visitors Saturday. Weekly orchestra practice night at Henry Swart’s Thursday evening week. One of the largest crowds of the season attended the dance here Saturday evening. Mrs. Na'Uman of Peru, Hl., ,is here visiting with her. son, H. F. Nauman and wife. s . . , Miss Tilton of Rensselaer visited over Sunday with her grandparents, Judge Greve and wife. Ranny Halleck, who has been working in North Carolina all summer, returned home Friday. Fred Koester and family of Lansing, HL, have returned to their home here and will remain for the present. ' . , Mr. P. W. Halleck returned to Highland, Ind., Monday a.- m., having been home last week with three mashed fingers. Albert Rosing of Kankakee, HL, came Saturday for a few days visit with friends. Al is employed by the International Harvester Co., at Kanka Bucher of Wheatfield, Ind., was called here early Monday morning by Dr. Hewitt, as Doc. had an attack of heart trouble, but is getting along fine now. ; Mrs. Hannah Fairchild and daughter, Sadie, returned from a two weeks’ visit with Mrs. Fairchild’s two sisters, one living De Queen, Ark., and the other at Penalosa, Ka*., .this being their first visit in 'years., • A very pleasant birthday party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Hocknfey Saturday evening in honour of their daughter, Ethel.
