FIVE DAYS OF RACING
Hamess Events at Kankakee Fair. CLEAN RACES_AUGUST 16-20 Five days of clean harness racing will form part of the week’s attjac- ! tlon at the Kankakee Eater-State Fair. The first races will be called at two o’clock on the afternoon on Monday, August 16th. Each afternoon of that week, to and including Friday, August 20th, will be featured by races. Both harness races and running races will supply entertainment, in tt» running race classes $2,000 being offered in purses. ’ Fair and Square. I The many years of successful horse racing at the Fair have been due to the wise policy of the association. Every race is fair and square. The starter gives everyone a fair show. Every horse entered has ■ a chance to win on its. merit. The payment of the purses pleases the horsemen. They are not asked to wait until the end of the week for their money. As soon as the last heat ... is run they are. urged to come to the stand and get their money. Within five minutes after the race is over the Fair has paid the purse. Prospects are good for the, races of 1920. There will be a good number of starters in the various classes. | Tima records should be established. Altogether It will be a most delightful week for those who love to watch these keen contests of speed.
