SHOCKING FATALITY TO LOWELL FARMER
Lowell, Ind., July 19.—Ward Hathaway, living east of Lowell, was seriously injured Sanday while starting his gasoline engine. His trousers became caught in the fly wheel of the engine and before he could be released his limb was very badly mangled. Medical aid was summoned at once and it was found necessary to amputate the limb. He did not rally from the shock and passed away yesterday morning. He was one of this section’s younf farmers and had a host of friends. He leaves to mourn him his wife, one daughter, parents, two brothers and many other relatives and friends.
