At half-past eleven Mr. Stone retired. In a few minutes the telephone rang, and he hurried downstairs to find that there was no one on the line. He had just snuggled into his warm bed when the telephone rang again, and he answered it a second time. It proved to be a man who wished to interest him in a new automobile.
