, We desire to express our heartfelt thanks to the many kind friends and neighbors who so kindly assisted us by their acts of kindness during the sickness and following the death of our beloved nephew, Kenneth Hooker, and for the beautiful floral tributes. According to the Indianapolis News a recommendation _was to be made to the State Highway Commission, in session at the capitol yesterday, bo embrace the Adeway from Kentland to Crown Point in the state highway system. We could hot learn this morning what action, if any, was taken in the matter. The recommendation was to ’ be made on the ground that it was a necessary connecting link ip the system, and would give 8 desirahw outlet to Chicago to the people of Western Indiana. If Newton county is successful in getting this road it will give her but a proportionate share of the state system.—Kentland Enterprise. The Monon Knights of Pythias will hold their memorial services in the Christian church at that place gunday, June 20 in the forenoon.
