Mrs. Ed Morrison is on the sick list. Miss Helen Rishling spent Sunday at home. Mrs. Farris and two children, of near Brook, visited James Cassell and family Thursday. Miss China Overton and Raymond Warren were married at Monticello Saturday, June 12th. Miss Leona Snedeker of Hammond is spending a two weeks’ vacation with home folks. Mrs. Wm. Zabel and two daughters, Emma and Wilma, went to Thawville, 111., Saturday for a few days’ visit with relatives. Born, to Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Mellander, June 11, a boy. This date also being the baby’s grandmother- Menander’s birthday. There was a large crowd present at band concert last Thursday evening. The boys are expecting to give concerts every Thursday evening during the summer. Next Sunday is Children’s day Were. Every one is invited to come and bring their dinners. There will be Sunday school and church in the morning and the children’s program in the afternoon.
