Charges of evtraordinary expenditures of Hoover, funds in California were denied before the senate campaign investigating committee by Warren Gregory, president of the Hoover Republican committee of 1 California. The subcommittee on foreign expenditures of the house war investigating committee submitted a report declaring that the army court martial system is archaic. The report condemns “third degree” methods at military prisons in France. The house passed the airplane an-ti-dumping bill which is designed to prevent the importation of British planes. / O - " Inflated prices of other commodities and a strong demand are .blamed by the department of agriculture for prevailing high cost of vegetables and fruits. President 'Wilson appointed a commission to settle the wage controversy of the anthracite coal miners. Attorney General Palmer in a telegram to Felix Frankfurter, one of the attorneys who signed the protest against department of justice methods in dealing with alien deportation cases demanded the retraction of the charges. Baton Bowe, La., June B.r-By unanimous vote the Senate federal relations committee today reported out a resolution providing for ratification of the federal suffrage amendment.
