GRAIN GRADING WILL BE TAUGHT INDIANA FARMERS
Lafayette, fad., May teen meetings to demonstrate the proper grading of grain under the new Federal grain grading act will be held at as many different towns and cities starting May 24 and ending June 5. All of the meetings will <be at 1:30 o’clock in the afternoon except two, which come in the evening at Greensburg and Lagrange. The complete schedule follows: Rushville mod Greensburg, May 24; Columbus, May 25; Bloomington, May 26; Evansville, May 27; Terre Haute, May . 28; Vincennes, May 29; Bluffton, Junr 1; Auburn, June 2; Lagrange, June 2; Laporte, I June 3; Rensselaer, June 4; Craw- ! fordsville, June 5. The meetings will be under direction of the Federal supervisor, H. A. Rhoades, Indianapolis, with the agricultural extension department of Purdue university and the Indiana Grain Dealers’ Association co-operating. Grading, dockage, etc., will be taught

McCord, formerly a citizen of Rensselaer,- died at his Chicago home this week at the age of forty-eight years. He is survived by his wife, step-daughter, mother and two brothers. Burial was made in Chicago Friday. The marriage of Bernard Michael Meguire, -of Camp Grant, 111., and Alice McKay occurred at the home of the bride Friday evening, the Rev. W. T. Barbre officiating. Mts. Meguire will make this city her home until Mr. Meguire is discharged from the U. S. service. The Rensselaer hall team is ready for their game with Monticello* at that place Sunday, at least they think they are. , Monticello s is no weak sister when it comes to playing baseball and it remains to he seen just how' far_ the locals have come back. A deal probably will be completed Monday whereby A* M. Robertson, owner of the Princess theatre, will become the owner of the .Star theatre, now owned by E. B. Allen. It is understood that Mr. Robertson will operate the theatre on Wednesday and Saturday evenings only. The baccalaureate address will be given at the Christian church Sunday evening,by the Rev. J. Budman Fleming of the Presbyterian church. There will be no services at the other churches Sunday evening. Mrs. E. P. Honan and her nephew James R.
