DELAWARE PUTS OFF SUFFRAGE

Dover, Del., May 17.—The Delaware house of representatives, which convened today after a two Weeks’ recess, adjourned late in the day without taking any action on the resolution to ratify the woman’s suffrage amendment to the federal constitution, recently adopted by the senate. The measure now cannot be brought to a vote before Wednesday unless the house rules are suspended, which requires a two-thirds vote. Should it be presented tomorrow it must go to the committee and be reported out after one day before it can go to a vote.
