Davis of Kniman visited here Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Helsel. Chas. Amstein is taking treatment at Benton Harbor, Mich. Fred Amstein and family of Chicago returned home Monday from a .visit, here with his home folks. Wte.* Whitcomb and family have given Roselawn a cold shake, bought Eroperty at Thayer and expect to ve happ -aver afterward. . Word received here that Mr. and Mrs. William Adams have passed to the groat (beyond- Mr. Adams died the week .before last and Mrs. Adams died last week. The deceased couple were .former citizens of Newton county for many years and . formerly resided on their farm one mile .eate of Thayer. . Elmer Burns. of Gary visited friends here last Wednesday. Reuben Gundy . and son, Cletus, of Hamlet, visited here last Tuesday with the former’s sudors, Mrs. Henry Cobb and Mrs. Henry DeFries. Roy White, who is working in Hammond, visited here over Sunday with his family. Tom Spitler .of Hammond moved his household goods hack here last Saturday. Mr. Spitler intends to do a large trucking business this summer. The social held here Saturday, evening was a success both socially and financially. The Ladies’ Aid wishes to thank the people for their 'kind and liberal patronage.
