The High School gave an entertainment to Seniors Saturday night. About 31 couples were present Refreshments were served. Ice cream, cake and punch were the menu. Everybody had a splendid time but two, Richard Bowie and Wade Peregrine. Richard was two hours late. Wade forgot to get his partner, but did not forget to take her home. Everyone, had a fine time and nobody can realize what a fine young generation there is for the future. Alex Reid from Ohio visited Streator and then returned in time to take Margaret Yeager to the party. Alex can’t tell anybody he don’t like punch, we know better. Warren Fisher sold his team, getting $500.00. It sure was too good a team to knock around on a farm when a cheaper team will answer the purpose. Bill Knapp and Duggleby sold Warren a team of sorrels for much less money. Nona White, who has a position in Chicago, came home over Sunday. Nona sure looks fine. Geo. Lawton and wife of Chicago came down to see his partner, McCollins, who was feeling blue. Ducks were swimming around where Mac wanted, to put in oats. Enough to make anybody blue. Cheer up Mac. says George. Mrs. Jacob Pittsley, who died Tuesday evening was buried Thursday. Rev. Abel preached a fine sermon. The church was filled. Mr. Pittsley wishes to thank everybody for their kindness and especially the music and singers. Mrs. was bpried at San Pierre near her first husband. There sure must be lots of ehickens in this township, for every time one wants to use the phone, the topic of the day is chickens, the line is busy. Nic Rasmussen purchased the Anderson property. A fine house and lots of ground too, now Nick has the cage, where is the bird? Hans told us it was soon to be. He thought about June. Not many knows it but it’s so. Charles Andrews, the father of Mrs. French, is here from Chicago to spend the summer. He is quite a good looking young man to be a grandfather. Mrs. Shirer is sitting up again and we think as soon as the weather gets warm, Grandma will be out among her chickens again. Avery Hill, a brother to Tom, who lives on this good road that has already 3 pairs of twins, has also received a fine pair of boys. The Hills are O. K. ,
