Evening Republican, Volume 23, Number 103, Rensselaer, Jasper County, 28 April 1920 — GRANDMOTHER IS EIGHTY-EIGHT [ARTICLE]
GRANDMOTHER IS EIGHTY-EIGHT
Mrs. Michael Eger of North Van Rensselaer was eighty-eight yean old today, April 28. She is as active and spry as the average person of fifty. Her happy, pleasant disposition together with her love of toil have undoubtedly contributed very materially to her excellent health at this advanced age. Three of her daughters live with her. John Eger, her son, lives nearby and Mrs. Frank Maloy, another daughter, lives in Lowell. Her daughter-in-law, Mrs. William Eger, is a resident of this city. Grandmother Eger, as she is affectionately known, is of a quiet disposition, but these many yean which she has lived, have been filled with acts of loving kindness and she is beloved by all who know her. The Republican extends very hearty congratulations to Grandmother Eger, and joins with her many, many friends in wishing her continued health and happiness.
