Welding, county organizer, Red Cross, will be here Saturday afternoon and evening in the interests of soldiers and sauorg regarding their insurance, allotments, liberty bonds, bonuses, etc. James Pinkerton made • business trip to Hammond Tuesday. Elmer Stowell, of near Leßoy, was in Shelby Thursday. Louise Dorsch of Hammond spent the week-end with home folks. Fred Ahlgrim and family visited Max Ahlgrim and family last week. Walter Bunning of DeMotte spent the week end' with his sister, Mr*. Guy Dickey. ' _ Mrs. Richard Cox and son, Pete and Russell, went to Monticello Saturday to visit Mrs. George Doctor. Mr. and Mr*. Al Johnson, of near Morocco, were shopping in Shelby Saturday. Eric Hill, minister of the M. E. church, is spending his vacation in Shelby this week. Guy Dickey made a business trip to Chicago Friday. William Grey and family of Monon attended the funeral of Lester Burgess Sunday afternoon.
