C., April 27. “The house indulged in acrimonious discussion of the soldiers’ bonus bill, scheduled to be considered and passed without amendment next Monday, the lines being drawn between the Republicans favoring a 1 per cent sales and other taxes to raise the fund and the Democrats and insurgent Republicans favoring a retroactive tax on war profits. —b— The Hoch resolution for an investigation of activities of Assistant Secretary of Labor Louis F. Post with a view to his impeachment was taken up before the house rules committee. —o— Republican members of the senate foreign relations committee have' practically agreed on the form and substance of a new peace resolution to take the place of the measure recently passed by the house. o — The senate adopted an amendment to the naval appropriation bill providing for a system of voluntary naval training for young men between the ages of 16 and 20 yean. It also provides $20,000,000 for naval aviation, an increase of $9,000,000 over the house appropriation. j . . , ' .
