HAS SERVED LONGEST.
From the standpoint of length of service, W. H. Beam is the oldest station agent now employed by the Monon railroad. He was appointed agent at Reynolds in 1884, from there he was transferred to San Pierre and later was agent for one year at Sheridan. He served three years as train dispatcher and in 1893 was appointed station agent at this place. During these thirty-six years Mr. Beam has been faithful and regular and has lost very little time. Few employes can show such a record of uninterrupted sendee. He is held in the highest esteem by the railroad officials and his counsel in matters relating to the business of the road is often sought. During the twenty-seven years he has served as agent at this place he has made a host of very close personal friends and is held in very high regards by all who know him. He is efficient, courteous in his business relation, thoughtful, considerate and wholehearted in his. friendship.
