DELPHI OIL WELL FOUND TO BE SALT WATER

The oil well north of Delphi has proven to be a salt water producer only. Oil was discovered iust 'before they hit trenton rock at -a depth of 900 feet, but when they drilled a short distance further salt water took its place. The work has shown that oil is beneath the surface of Delphi hut in what quantities elsewhere would have to be determined by continued effort. About SIO,OOO was spent 'by Mr. Williams in drilling that well and he has gone on to other fields but says he is willing to go on halves with the people in sinking another well, as he feels that a well in the right place near that city would get results.
