SOLDIER NOW A FARMER.
The following is from Captain Edward L. Watson, who has turned his sword into plow shares. Hebron, Indiana. March 15, 1920. My dear Mr. Hamilton— Well I have moved and am very comfortably located nine miles southwest of Valparaiso and six miles northeast of Hebron. Have a very good farm here of 175 acres, with good improvements, would certainly enjoy a visit from you sometime. We have lots of fruit here so don’t forget this summer when you get fruit hungry to look for our place where you are always very welcome. You probably know the man who owns this farm. He used to teach school in Jasper county, A. J. Worstel, fine sort of a fellow, I believe. Find enclosed a check for $2.00 for which enter my name on your subscription list for the semi-week-ly Republican. My very kind regards to Mrs. Hamilton and Marie, and to any of my old acquaintances, I remain as ever. Yours very sincerely EDWARD L. WATSON, Hebron, Indiana. R. R. I.
