WALKER TOWNSHIP.

The Liberty club met with Mrs. Frank Hershman and a fine time was enjoyed by all- Two new members were added to the club list. The next meeting will be with Mrs. Paul Hershman, March 3rd. An open meeting will be held -at the home of Mra. John Pettet on March 17, St. Patrick’s eve. Ail persons attending will l be fined if they do not wear some article of wearing apparel colored green. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bridgeman and son, Donald, Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Lilly and son and Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Huntington took dinner with Mrs. J. J. Tomlinson and son Will, Sunday. Estol and Arthur Meyers called at F. M. Lilly’s Saturday; Will StaKba urn’s had company from Valparaiso Sunday. / John Pettet was a Rensselaer caller Wednesday. Julius Shultz moved his family to the old Wagner place, Wednesday. The saw-mill is running full blast again this week. F. M. Lilly wa sa business caller in Momence. A. P. Huntington sawed wood for John Pettet Thursday. Paul Hershman and wife took dinner with Ernest Tomlinson and family Sunday. A miscellaneous shower was given Miss Hazel Meyers at the home of Mrs. ,F. Saturday. Mrs. Clarence Bridgeman and Mr. J. J. Tomlinson acting as hostesses with Mrs. Lilly. About twenty of Miss Havel’s friends were present and many useful and lovely presents were given her, among which were many articles of aluminum, glassware, linen and dishes. A abort musical program was given by Hershman, Ernest Tomlinson, A. T. Huntington, F. M. Lißy and Mi BB Bertha Hershman and Lester Lally. Then a light lunch was served consisting of light and dark cake, icecream and coffee. The guests departed wishing Miss Meyers many happy years of married life. Firman Pettet and bride spent the week-end at the home of John Pettet ■ . , Miss Ruby Pettet was on the sick list Monday. Mrs. F. M. Garrett called on Mra. Lee Jennings, Wednesday.
