Mrs. Robert Miller and son returned to their home in Monon this afternoon after a visit here with her father, J. L. Griggs . John Bowie of Wheatfield was tn Rensselaer. John is always a good feeler and likes to have a good word to say about everybody. He is a great booster for Wheatfield. iDr. J. T. Abbott, of Portland, Oregon, arrived here Tuesday and today continued to Boswell. He will return here for a more extended visit. He will Visit at Frankfort before returning here. Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Eller, who had visited with their daughter, Mrs. Sylvanus Arnold and family, returned today to their home in Kokomo. Mrs. Arnold and daughter accompanied them and will remain with them for a week. Among those here on account of the death of Mrs. Eilt Tobin are Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Tobin and children, Louis Webber and the Rev. H. Stahmer, of Melvin, Ill.; George Brushman, of Reynolds, and Mrs. John Webber of Beatrice, Neb. Paul Cook, son of Mr. and Mrs. Simon Cook, arrived here this afternoon from Plymouth where he had been employed foT sotmc time. Paul will go to Chicago in a short time and will be employed by the Western Union Telegraph Company. Frank McElheny returned to this city today after an absence since December 19, Since leaving here Mr. McElheny had been to California. ’ He had traveled more than - five thousand five hundred miles and was in twelve of the fot' ty-eight states of the Union. He may again make Rensselaer his honte. » Leonard Swaim arrived from Gloster, Miss., today where he has been spending the winter with his father, James Swaim, who is the owner of a 153-acre farm near that place. Swaim stashed that when he left the southern state the flowers Were blooming and that warm weather was prevailing, and that his father is very well pleased with his investment Mr. Swaim will probably remain here for some time.
