ORGANIZE FOR ARMENIANSYRIAN RELIEF DRIVE

At a, meeting held this Tuesday afternoon at the court house ait which A. R. Von Kossen, of Winona Lake, Ind., presided, an organization for an Armenian-Syrian Relief chapter fin Jasper county was perfected. ’ The purpose of the chapter is to raise die county's quota of SI,BOO which 'is to go toward the relief of the orphans of the unfortunate countries ravaged by the Turks. ■ v . ; • Mr. Von Fossen has been assigned to the counties of Lake, Benton, Newton and Jasper. Following the meeting here, he left for Remington 'where an organization is to be perfected this evening. 'At the meeting held this afternoon a president, vice-president and secretary were elected, but the results of the election were not known in time to be published in today’s issue of the Republican.
