OBITUARY.
Jacob R. Wilcox. Jacob R. Wilcox was born in Coshocton County, Ohio, Dec. 3, 1840, and died at his home in Rensselaer, Feb. 3, 1920, at the age of , seventy-nine years and two months. > At the age of fifteen he emigrated with his parents from their Ohio home to Walker township, in Jasper County, where with his father and mother, .together with seven sons and three daughters, they established a home in the almost trackless wilderness of the time. Mr. Wilcox served as a private in the Civil war, being a member of the 48th Indiana Volunteers. In 1872 he was united in marriage to Martha J. Stoner, to which union two children were born, Ora M. and Elmer J. Wilcox. His wife and son survive him, also two brothers, George and William, and two sisters, Mahala Bruner and Mary Kenton. Mr. Wikqx became a member of the Methodist Church when a young man and has always been a devout Christian. ~ Funeral services, were held at the Trinity M. E. Church in this city Thursday afternoon and were in charge of the Rev. E. W. Strecker. Interment was made in Weston cemetery.
