OBITUARY.
There is a Reaper Whose name is _Death; And with his sickle keen, He reaps the bearded grain—at a ’breath, And the flowers that grow between. It was a keen thrust of the sickle that garnered Mrs. Groom for the sky. Mrs. Cloten Groom, nee Miss Cloten Moyer, was born in Mt. Carmel, 111., September 11, 1868, and departed this life January >24, 1920. Here she grew up, was educated and gave fifteen of her best years to the training of the young life of this city. She taught in the grades and high school of Mt. Carmel for fifteen years and taught in Kansas for seven years. In August, 1911, she was happily married to J. W. Groom, of Kingman. , Early in her life she gave her heart to Jesus Christ and united with the First M. E. church under the ministry of Dr. Pender. She leaves a husband, mother, three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Maloy, of Chicago; Mrs. Cora Pepper, of Tampa, Fla.; Mrs. Muriel McClelland, of Mt. Carmel; and one brother, Tyman Moyer, of Chicago, with other relatives-and friends, to mourn her going.
