Not until Monticello was reached was a physician found. Dr. Besser sold his bouse on Harrison street, now occupied by Peter Jordan, to the Christian Church, for a parsonage. Consideration, $1400.00. , Guy Arnold, wife and Miss Ina Alson and nephew, Keith, came from Pontiac, Jul.-, Sunday and, after a short visit with their brother, Elza Alson and family, went to the home of the former at Seafield on Monday. The family of Thomas Thurston are quarantined with small pox since Sundhy. The few cases here are very light and every precaution is being taken to keep the disease from becoming prevalent. C. C. Pancoast, daughter, Mass Oka and Claude Moore, of Rensselaer, were business caller here Saturday. - Mn. Clifford Garabee and little daughter, «f Wolcott, were guests of friends here the first of the week. Miss Chloe Dobbins, w|*o has been the guest of relatives here, left the first of the week for a visit with her brother, .Everett ami family, at Pekin, Hl., before going on to her home in Chicago.
