George Williams and Fred Piclfner, of South Bend, visited relatives and friends here over Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Thore Olsen and Berger Arvesen left here Saturday for lowa, where they will locate. Lawrence Sayler, who has 'been in Alabama this winter, was here visiting friends last week. Ezra Whitehead is attending the Lumbermen’s convention at Indianapolis this week. - Another of those popular dances will be given at Konovsky’s hall Saturday evening, Jan. 24th. Music by the Curtin orchestra, and a good time guaranteed. You are invited to attend a social dance at Primo Theatre, Wheatfield, Ind., Friday evening, Jan. 23rd. Music by the Knox orchestra. Come and dance to good music and have a good time. Miss Hattie Whitehead came last Friday for an extended visit with her brother, Ezra Whitehead, and family. Hattie says she is so glad to visit here, that she could eat cold biscuits with lard instead of butter. ~ Dick Bowie is teaching this week at the Tefft school. Several of the Delahanty family went to Illinois this week to attend the golden wedding anniversary of a relative. Nearly every newspaper mention of William Jennings Bryan throwing his hat into the political arena again after having been the candidate for president in three campaigns. Bryan geta about as much free publicity as Henry Ford does for his jitney, but the fact remains that Bryan has many fnends among the voters of America. Lenly Jones and Attorney Roy Blue were business visitors at the county seat Thursday. -- - . ’"" < Wm. Boyle of Roselawn transacted business here last Thursday evening. Squire Albert Van Dooser went to Chicago Tuesday to attend the funeral of a relative.
