WILL BE AUXILIARY TO AMERICAN LEGION
The War Mothers’ organization in this county, which has been in existence since the outbreak of the \ar, and which has had such a successful organization, but the membership in which was limited to the mothers of service men, has decided to re-drganize and by retaining their organization, form an auxiliary to the Local Post, of the American Legion. The Auxiliary would admit to membership the mothers, sisters, wives and daughters of former service men. For this purpose they are extending to all mothers, sisters, wives and daughters of ex-service men an invitation to join the new organization and form one patriotic ori ganization in this county of relai tives of soldiers who were in the World War. - I Mrs. Claire Thurston of Indianapolis, who has zeen organizing ’ there Auxiliaries in this state, with the permission of the State Headquarters of the American Legion, will be in Rensselaer, Thursday night to assist in organizing the local post of the auxiliary. The meeting will be held in the west Court Room of the Court- House, Thursday night, January 22, at 7:30. All mothers, daughters, wives and sisters of soldiers who served in the World War are invited and urged to attend this meeting.
