CHURCH GROWING IN STRENGTH
REVIVAL TO CLOSE SUNDAY. RECEPTION SERVICES SUNDAY NIGHT. The revival at the Christian ,church steadily moves forward with increasing interest. There were six more accessions at the services last night The attendance while not so large as bn some nights, was never-the-less good and the enthusism ran high. A spirited song service and a duet by the Brocks again preceded the sermon by the Rev. Mr. Barbre. He spoke on “What Will You 'Do With Jesus?” “A Convenient Season” is to be the subject of the sermon tonight A delegation from Brook is to attend the service in a body. They will drive to Rensselaer by auto. A baptismal service will be held at the close of the service. A quartette will furnish special music besides the number by the Brocks. It is expected that Friday night will be the biggest week night service yet held. It is to be the night of the bible drill demonstration by the boys and girls. Special song will-also feature the service. The sermon as announced will he on the subject “The Knock at the Door.” It is to be the “Birthday Offering Night” for the expenses of the meeting. , The campaign for 300 in Bible School next Sunday is bringing about good results. Mr. Brock said that he wanted 100 pledge cards turned in by Wednesday night, 100 on Thursday night and 100 or more on Friday night. More than 100 were counted last night at the close of the service. “300 Plus” is the goal. . - — The revival is to come to a close on Sunday night. A reception service for all new members will be held Monday night Already there have been forty-six accessions during the present series of meetings. Considerably more than 100 accessions have been made to the. church within the past ten months.
