ONE DAY SESSION OF THE 3 LEGISLATURE MAY BE HELD THIS WEEK. * If the Women’s Franchise League of Indiana succeeded in getting a sufficient number of pledges to the governors one day session planby Tnnu/lav th#* arivemor will call the legislature' in special session oh Thursday of this week. , i Ths .governor requires that a sufficient number of senators and representatives be pledged to hold hut a single day’s session and that the ratification of the national suffrage amendment shall be the only matter ocnsidered. □ Twenty-four states have ratified the . federal amendment granting full suffrage to women. Six other states have extra sessions called or in immediate prospect; two states have defeated ratifiCation. and sixteen are on the waiting list, having Uken no action either way. Enogh extra sessions may he called of the sixteen states that are included in the last category to furnish the, necessary thirty-six to olace the amendment in effect.
