In his “Lines of Communication.” Captain Agate tells a good story of a certain great actress who was one day giving a lesson to a pupil on the bare stage of her theater. The girt w supposed to he iw immediate danger and' to be calling for assistance, but? could not manage to do so in a sufficiently realistic manner.
