City Planning Proposed.

The city of Auburn, Maine, is to try the city planning method. Last 1 fall It contracted with a park building association of Chicago, to draft a plan for the city, and it will be ready in October. It will be accompanied’ by a-comprehensive report of its construction and suggestions relative to its execution. The cost'Vtf the plan is $3,600, and it. provides for the greatest possible development in the next 50 years. It is being adopted by Auburn in preference to haphazard methods followed by many cities.
